David E. Sugar was an early pioneer of 'Chip Tune' - an experimental genre of electronic music

using repurposed game consoles and one of the first music communities to be born out of the internet.


After this he released a number of fidget house records touring the world and playing at clubs such as Panorama Bar, Manumussion, Ministry of Sound, Razzamataz and Fabric.


He later went on to release his own style of electro pop on tastemaker labels such as Kitsune, Greco-Roman and Sunday Best. 

He has remixed numerous artists such as The Klaxons, Wiley, Chew Lips, Martin Solveig, The Rumble Strips and The Phenomenal Handclap Band. He has toured with Calvin Harris, La Roux, Digitalism, Deadmau5 and Fenech-Solar.

He has been writing with/for Delta Heavy, Digital Farm Animals, Chloe Howl,

Dua Lipa, Dimension, 80Kidz, Daniel Maurice Wilson, Patrick Dorgan, Caswell, Lulu James,

Est-Her, Venior, Jakil, Sabella, Scott Quinn, Matt Cardle, Jodie Abacus. 

He recently composed the score for the BAFTA nominated feature film 'Kingdom of Us' and the theme tune for the new channel four show 'Five Star Hotel'.
